I was trying to solve and ASP problem in the IIS 7 and when it showed me the error it only displayed the following:
500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.Well... If you tried to figure out what this error message is about, you need to know that you can set the level of details that IIS 7 (that comes in MS 2008 servers) has.

Now other thing to consider after you do this step is that classic IIS is not installed in windows 2008 servers so you need to install the ISAPI. Please read this article for more details.
